Start your week with a positive note.
Is has been proven doing something pleasant at the beginning of your day definitely sets the tone of what is to come for the next 24 hours. We are the queens and kings of setting unrealistic goals (gym, relax, spend more time with family, etc.) every January 1st and forget these goals January 5th. But, what if something incredibly simple could help you (and I mean really help you) to set a good tone to your days. We live stressful lives during stressful times, worried about a million things and then some. We rarely find the time to get things completed and balance life with professional goals or responsibilities or simply finding the right alignment for our personal atmosphere, period. Well, here it is, the solution is… Wake up with enough time.
I know, I know… I absolutely know what you are thinking. I cannot tell you how many times I attend to my local coffee shops on a weekly basis and see everyone, with a few exceptions, running, stumbling, screaming, frustrated, furious, trying to get a coffee. WHAT? How can the simplest of tasks become such a torment for so many ? When? How? Who ever said is necessary to step into or drive by a coffe shop? What ever happened with coffee at home? Well, that is a topic on its own. But if we could only squeeze 15-20 minutes more, we would be far more relaxed and flow much better to not feel the increasingly rush of the mornings. Rush that indirectly attributes to the mass-felt unhappiness in the USA (and other countries too). Why is it so damn difficult for the average Joe to wake up on time? What are the contributing factors to the chain reaction that we are experiencing? Is this the new normal? Are the new generations more susceptible to be trapped by this ugly cycle of events? Too many questions to be answered right? What is true is that I have put these theories to the test for some time now and the result is inevitable clear. Having the time to fully perform a routine in the morning creates a far more satisfactory day overall than just winging it.
I understand that the life of each individual must be analyzed to fully understand it and find a workable solution on how to improve it. This imperative task depends on you. Take some time to understand your flow through the week and write down how the list of task or to-do’s can be better configured to suit the week in a better form and try (as best you can) to stick with it. Hard? The short answer, YES. But I guarantee you after a truly brief time you will find it much better for your mental sanity. I can only hope that you like me find the time to connect with yourself and experience peace in a way that is new to you. And better yet, that you fall in love with that newfound peace, so it becomes easier for you to share the practice with those you care for.
Till next time,
